Summoning has never been off the table. In fact Danny welcomes it.

Now it’s just getting repetitive. Destroy the world, end this specific race, person, sexuality. He’s really heard it all and it honestly sucks. He’s a protective spirit damn it!

Look at all the high and mighty people and cultists that would call on him for their mortal issues? It's even more annoying to listen to the whiney people who think they're entitled to his power or his time.

So he did what he should've done this whole time. If ghosts are strong enough emotional echoes, why shouldn't it be the same way? He establishes a connection between his summoning circle. If the caster's intent when casting the spell is for anything other than protecting life, its free game. Que the registration of numerous ghost to send an echo of themself to fuck with the people who thought they could fuck with the king. Of course, there are rules. You're only there for a short window. No killing is permitted unless a caster is hostile and a threat to ghosts. Ensure the safety and good health of human sacrifices. Blah,blah, blah. But most importantly, make them regret ever casting the spell in the first place. Upon numerous heroes failing to stop the summoning in time, there's a vast amount of random shit that happens further proves to not fuck with the realms. Batman can only hear the nostalgic music before witnessing the lead cultist that nabbed Jason get hit by an ice cream truck driven by a muscular man and little girl in uniforms. Tim and could agree that their soft serve was the best they ever had. Hal comes onto the cultists being forced into a tea party and learning their table manners from a blue dragon in a gorgeous dress and tiara. Flash comes up to Shazam and a lanky grey figure with glasses discussing Justice League fanfiction while the cultists have to cosplay the members and live out their found family dreams. Spectra is having the time of her life honestly. Talking things out with depressed kids to work through those feelings or being allowed to pay a certain clown a visit time and time again for her good work along with, spooking frats and sororities.

Superman has been quick to react to cultists after a little demon of a girl promised to return if he wasn't treating his clone better to not repeat the beatdown that was personally recorded and handed to Lex to make if he agreed to make merch from it. Most summon sites are Jumpscare Central or a straight up scrap. It's also a wonderful chance for Spectra to give the bats what they fear most. THERAPY!!! Under Jasmine's supervision, of course. JLD has heard the outcries of the JL and still keeps their good standing with the king to themselves. Especially that said king is over every Friday with treats and gifts from throughout the ages. He's fallen for the blonde warlock that has always been able to reliably call on him because he only does it when ABSOLUTELY NECESSARY! Danny found it odd that the only person who could call him now was a sad Brit in a trenchcoat but a conversation or two had them see that they were more often than not on the same wavelength. Sick of their duty, in need of a drink, and helping the world to the best of their ability. John is just so human and reminds him of how he is too. That soon applies to Zatanna too, who's distraught from leading. Besides, what happens in the House of Mysteries stays in the House of Mysteries.

She was enjoying herself more than she wanted to admit just yet, busy memorizing all his little sounds. His sighs and his groans--that little chuckle. Catching him off guard enough that he was like this for her made her feel powerful, and honestly, she was beyond pleased that he seemed so happy himself.

"Oh?" she asked with a grin. "I'm teaching you something for once?" That brought a little chuckle out of her, and she hummed as his hands ran along her body. His fingertips caressed every little divot and she groaned a needy groan when his hips moved and he was talking again. "Yes, what do you want..."

His hand started to move between them, her breath hitching as it managed to end up between her thighs. For a moment she couldn't think clearly at all, and perhaps she couldn't anyway before, but now it was almost impossible with him answering 'you' in one way or another, and then the pressure he was applying with his hand. Desire pooled in her stomach, and she could swear he could tell how he affected her, from her pearled nipples to the pupils dilated with lust.

In fact, he probably enjoyed that he had this affect on her: she enjoyed her affect on him too.

It was her turn to be distracted, but the smile remained as she ground against his hand and then leaned down to kiss him. "I want you too..." she promised against his lips, sitting up a little straighter and then wiggling her finger at him to sit up. "On top first I can do, but we're going to do it my way..."

Eve wanted the intimacy, and the eye contact, and his skin against hers. She was simple in that respect, that she wanted closeness with him, and to see his face when he was in bliss. He was important to her, and she wasn't sure that she even knew how important, but she could feel it in her bones.

"Since I'm teaching you and all..."

There were a dozen and a half witty responses he could have given to the remark about her being besotted, but try as he may, Tareque couldn't will his mind to think clearly enough to draw up a single one.

"Hah--" He huffed as he felt her teeth against his neck and the rhythmic caress of her hand. His eyes fell closed as he practically melted under her touch. It seemed Eve knew precisely what to say to completely dismantle him. He had never been lacking for self-worth, but she drew a sense of pride and confidence from him that he hadn't experienced in years. And for someone to have such power over his emotions? She had him wrapped around her finger more than she realized.

"I fear in this moment it-- Nnn-- is you teaching me," he confessed in a soft whisper, chuckling quietly as his eyes cracked open again to look up at her through a half-lidded gaze. Not that it would keep him from answering her question, of course. Tareque had no qualms stating precisely what he wanted.

His hands felt a path along her body, fingertips gliding along exposed skin as he memorized every curve, every reflexive tightening of muscle where he touched. Only when both palms reached her hips did he take hold of them, thumbs rubbing small circles in the dip of each. Almost subconsciously, his own hips rolled up against her own.

"What do I want," he repeated in a murmur. His right hand began another venture, sliding between their bodies until it found it's destination between Eve's thighs. "Is you an acceptable answer?" Palm rubbing pressure in circular motions, Tareque smirked, almost lazily. "Namely, you atop me. For now." After that, who knew what curious positions imagination could lead them into?

Wut and Sol said they could give Joe some money out of kindness, and Joe could pay them back whenever.

Ming said he would give Joe whatever he wanted in exchange for Joe's body because Ming is selfish.

Joe taking Ming's deal is the most relatable moment I've had with Joe because I, too, would pick the devil I already know. Mixing finances with friends is always dicey, and he would still owe them. With Ming, it's business and he doesn't have to worry about ruining a friendship. He can hate Ming, but as long as Ming runs him his money, he'll continue to do his job because this is just another stand-in job.

Joe is really saying "sex work is work"

And I respect that.

I thought the fandom was all for "breaking the norm" and whatnot so I thought it wouldn't matter that Midoriya doesn't work at Bakugou's agency because they can still be heroes together??

I hate that Midoriya rejects Bakugou's offer, not because I think he's some traitor or anything because I don't. (No one can never make me hate you.) I hate because of the fandom's reaction to it.

Whether it makes sense or not, the way some of you are portraying the characters is downright despicable.

Like, the depictions some of you... ugh... from what I'm getting...

Apparently, Bakugou is some controlling boyfriend who should have a say in everything Midoriya says and do. And how dare Midoriya be ungrateful! Oh, the travesty! The betrayal! How dare he say no to working at an agency because working at Bakugou's agency is the only way they can be heroes together!

It's a shame that at this point, Midoriya is just an accessory to Bakugou to some of you.

Honestly, given how for years Midoriya has been treated by the fandom and just the thought appeals to me, I do prefer that he doesn't work at an agency. An agency isn't something so important for someone to be a hero and put a smile on people's faces. Something Midoriya longed to do.

An agency is just a group occupying a fancy ass building occupying some space.

Solo like Miruko and still being able to work with his friends to save people. Make that canon for me.

Some of you are acting as if Bakugou stopped being one of the most important people in his life. As if Midoriya looked at him and went "I hate you, Kacchan". 😭

I'll never forget when Arcane was airing and Mel fans were pointing out the symbolism between her and Viktor, only for that side of the fandom to be so hateful towards her and her fans like it was bad. But now that their fave is gone and has nothing to do with the Noxus story like Mel does, that side of the fandom wants to talk about the symbolism all of a sudden but, here's the kicker, with only in regards to Viktor. Oh, they aren't even trying.

Wolfwood and Martyrdom

There's something everyone tends to misunderstand, about martyrdom.

You don't become a martyr against your will. It has to be a conscious choice between renouncing your faith and keeping your life, or remaining faithful and being put to death. It's not just dying, even if it’s in service of faith. It has to be a decision.

It has to be a willing sacrifice. You have to, consciously, purposefully, choose surrendering your life over renouncing your faith.

I do not think people are realising just how profound Wolfwood's devotion to Vash had become. How truly he believed in Vash. How deeply they loved and were devoted to each other.

Because Wolfwood truly did not want to die. And yet he chose to in Vash's name.

Wolfwood loved Vash and his ideals so much that they became his reason to live, and then he accepted death to uphold them. Vash would never have asked that of him. Vash apologised for judging Wolfwood for killing when his willingness to do so saved innocent lives, told Wolfwood his ideals were a burden Wolfwood wasn't required to bear.

Instead, his own death was something Wolfwood had to request.

Do you accept this offering?

And Vash had to give him permission.

I do.

His proposal accepted, Wolfwood took up everything he had left, his body and spirit, the life he could have had, the welcome home he always yearned for - and he purposefully set them aside in the name of Vash's ideals. He was obedient unto death.

It's so painful. Vash is devastated, openly howling and weeping in anguish. But he had to let it happen because it was Wolfwood's choice. That's why, when he prays, it's not answered. And it's why Wolfwood tells him, with his final words, to smile - because he has no regrets. He chose this. He chose Vash. Don't blame yourself, tongari. You look better when you smile.

It is absolutely a wedding. There's literally no other way for the whole series of events to be properly understood otherwise. The passion and devotion of Wolfwood's sacrifice leaves me standing back in genuine awe.

Because to live outside of Christ is to die, and to die in Christ is to live.

Wolfwood entered the story as a dead man, and then realised he wanted to live. Vash wanted to share all his tomorrows with Wolfwood - and he will. Because martyrdom?

Can be how you become a saint.

And this is why Vash burned through his power to protect Wolfwood's body. Because Knives may consume everything else in his madness and fear and vengeance, but he doesn't get to even come close to touching this. This is sacred. This is a holy relic. This is something that belongs only to Vash.

A sinner like Knives is unworthy.

honestly re this post I think it's worth also drawing the connection that people who do this with characters also frequently act like criticizing the work overall is automatically bashing and in general wish they lived in a world where you could praise something without opening it up to criticism, and you cannot. There is nothing that can only be praised and not criticized. You can refute the criticism but you cannot claim the mere act of criticism itself is invalid without invalidating praise.

Halloween costume ideas I had for Stro Bro and his gray elephant-legged lump of a brother

With some of the stuff Strong Sad likes canonically, and some of the characters he's dressed as in the Halloween toons, you can't tell me he wouldn't be a fan of Peter Lorre films. So I drew him as Ugarte from Casablanca. It was hard finding the right balance between his and Lorre's facial features, but at least the color scheme didn't take too much effort to figure out.

The Strong Bad as Chucky art is actually one I made last year (ironically after Halloween had already ended, but I didn't wanna wait for the next Halloween to draw it by the time I thought it up). But I'm still pretty proud of it, so I figured I'd dig it back up and also post it here.

Batman: The Audio Adventures is about two things: goofy-ass worldbuilding and villain monologues. That's it, that's the podcast. Funny Gotham public service announcement, followed by a rogue giving a gay little speech while they literally torture somebody to death, rinse and repeat. And it's awesome.

My 10,000% favorite Florence song is not on the new anthology. I am incensed. I fell in love with “Howl” in… autumn 2017? That was when I really got into Florence + the Machine, but it was also around the time I was watching a lot of old Hammer Horror movies, and it was a great mood.

For whatever reason, Apple Music actually lists this as my #1 most listened song. I don’t know. The ears want what they want. I think one of the things I love about the song—well, first off, I don’t specialize in werewolves the way I do vampires, and maybe I should look into it. I have a sense (that I don’t have enough knowledge to really prove or disprove) that werewolf movies about women/femmes are generally about empowerment (Ginger Snaps is the one that comes to mind), about breaking out of repression or oppression (for which they may be punished, or they might get away with it). Whereas your classic The Wolf Man narrative (male), was more guilty Jekyll dealing with villainous Hyde, “stop me before I hurt someone again,” loved ones weeping over the dead hero in his redeemed human form and all that. (Probably nobody remembers the Mike Nichols Wolf but me, but it’s an empowerment narrative for a male character, an exception that proves the rule. If I get started on Van Helsing, which flips who's weeping over who, I’ll get mad about the ending all over again.)

The song “Howl,” though, isn’t a full narrative with an ending of either/any moral; it’s an experience in progress—

FC Soldout came out of nowhere, and now the main character is singing ROSÉ & Bruno Mars' "APT" which was only released like three months ago.

So this was filmed, went into post-production, and is now airing in less than three months?

I feel like I dreamed up this show.
